Re: Bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade

The Democratic Party of the Hong Kong SAR requests that you relay to your government our views on the May 8, 1999 NATO bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

1. The Democratic Party condemns the bombing of the Chinese Embassy as a violation of Chinese sovereignty;

2. The Democratic Party requests that NATO make a formal apology to the government and people of China, and pay compensation for the casualties and property damage;

3. The Democratic Party supports the Chinese government's demand that NATO to take responsibility for the incident;

4. The Democratic Party appeals to all Chinese compatriots in Hong Kong and around the world to condemn the bombing and demand an apology and compensation.
